Our Commitment to Safety
At Gaagagekiizhik Elementary School and Bimose Community High School, we are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive learning lodge for all students, staff, and families. Our school values are deeply rooted in the Seven Grandfather Teachings, which guide us to treat one another with love, respect, and bravery.
We take all bullying and safety concerns very seriously. To ensure immediate intervention and accountability, We believe direct, open communication is the fastest and most effective way to protect our youth and resolve conflicts safely.
How to Report a Bullying Concern
Your first point of contact is to call the school office directly at (807) 548-4912 and speak with our administrative officer. They will securely gather all the details, notes, and context regarding the incident to ensure an official report is generated.
The administrative officer will immediately deliver the message and incident details directly to your child's classroom teacher. The teacher will review the report and connect with you directly to discuss the situation, offer to meet about the incident, and will closely monitor the students in the classroom and on the playground.
Because we operate like a family, our staff is usually able to resolve concerns right away at the classroom level. However, if an issue requires extra support, a collaborative meeting can be arranged. If needed, the teacher, the family, and the school administration will meet together to establish a safe plan of accountability, healing, and a long-term solution.
Our school administration team operates under strict corporate safety guidelines to document, log, and resolve every reported behavioral concern.
